Inquiry-Based LabsFor College/University StudentsFor High School Students |
In 1986 Julia Jacobsen from the
College-University Resource Institute, Inc. assembled a group of chemistry
professors who had expressed interest
in exploring new ways of teaching chemistry to attract more women to the
field. This group, the Women-in-Chemistry Consortium, developed thirty
new laboratory modules which are available at low cost for use in college
and university laboratory courses. They are designed to use a collaborative,
open-ended, inquiry-based approach.
